USB C will be popular in the future?

What are the reasons why the Type-C interface can become an industry trend

We all know that USB data cables are widely used in smartphones, PCs, and tablets. Sinodec Industrial Co., LTD., A Chinese manufacturer that has been producing USB data cables for more than a decade, will talk about USB Type-C data sync and  charger cable. Type-C, referred to as USB-C, is a universal serial bus (USB) hardware interface specification.  The highlights of the new version of the interface are a slimmer design, faster transmission speeds (up to 10Gbps), and more powerful power transmissions (up to 100W).  The biggest feature of the Type-C double-sided pluggable interface is that it supports USB double-sided plugging, which officially solves the worldwide problem of "USB will never be plugged in", and plugs in both sides positively and negatively.  At the same time, the USB data cable used with it must also be thinner and lighter.  In addition, Type-C can transmit audio and video signals, and expands to a variety of audio and video output interfaces, such as HDMI, VGA, DVI, etc., and supports 4K HD resolution.  High-definition displays, flat-screen TVs, and VR / AR devices will say goodbye to coexistence of multiple interfaces, and use Type-C to unify audio and video and power supply.

Theoretically, the maximum transfer rate of the USB-C port is 10Gb per second.  But Apple says the new MacBook's USB-C port has a maximum transfer rate of 5Gbps.  The maximum output voltage is 20 volts, which can speed up charging.  The USB-A type has a limit transmission rate of 5Gbps and an output voltage of 5 volts.

The USB-C port of the new MacBook can transfer data, charge, and connect to external display devices as a video output port.  The only question is how Apple can satisfy users who want to do all three at the same time.

Unlike the old USB port, the power can only be transmitted in one direction. The power transmission of the USB-C port is bidirectional, which means that it can have two ways to send power.  Therefore, users can not only use laptops to charge mobile devices, but also use other devices or mobile power sources to charge laptops.

USB-C is compatible with the old USB standard, but users need to purchase additional adapters to complete the compatibility.  Apple said that not only does Apple officially sell adapters, third-party companies can also authorize production.  The main promoters of the USB-C interface standard include Apple, Intel, Google, Microsoft and other international companies.

Recently, the third quarter report of the electronics industry in 2018 was released. In the first three quarters, the operating income of the electronics industry was 770.864 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 17.61%. The performance of the industry was structurally differentiated, and consumer electronics, semiconductor and other sub-sectors performed well.  Market data shows that the size of the smart electronics market cannot be underestimated, and Type-C has done a lot.  According to the research firm IHS predicts that in 2019, devices equipped with USB-C interface will ship 2 billion, the penetration rate of notebooks and desktops is expected to reach 80%, and the penetration rate of wireless products such as smartphones and tablets will also reach 50%.  .  In addition, not only industry giants such as Microsoft, Google, Huawei, Xiaomi, etc. support the USB-C interface, the EU also plans to force all mobile devices to be unified to the USB3.1 interface by 2020.

A person in charge of an enterprise declared: "In the early days, the market with the largest use of Type-C was concentrated in smartphones, tablets and laptops, but the scope of applications will be wider in the future. Automobiles, VR / AR equipment, TV and other fields will be used in the future.  Type-C. With the increasing pursuit of portable devices, the rise of smart phones and ultra-thin notebooks, it is difficult to lay out larger data interfaces and more interface types on devices. In office environments, Type-C docks are required  Extend these interfaces to facilitate user work.

In addition, the devices with USB-C interface can be interconnected. Through the adapter, it is backward compatible with USB Type-A, Micro-B and other interfaces. Users only need to equip a USB-C adapter, and they can be anytime, anywhere  Insert charging and transmitting data.
