About the IEC/EN 62680 series standard USB Type-C accredited laboratory
UL Taiwan has previously been licensed by the USB-IF as an Independent Test Lab (ITL) to test USB Type A, USB Type B and USB Type C transmission line components and connectors, as well as USB PD electronic tag and power converter boxes.
USB has been widely used in a variety of calculator interface devices, tablet computers, mobile phones, and in the LED lighting and fan industry as well as many other related applications.
Among them, USB Type-C is accepted as a global connection standard for transmitting power voltages up to 100W and high-throughput digital content. In view of this, the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) adopted the USB-IF specification and developed the IEC 62680 series of standards after 2016 to make the USB Type-C interface and related technologies easier to adopt globally.
About the host product Thunderbolt 3 interface certification test laboratory
As a security certification organization, UL has acquired the Thunderbolt 3 interface certification test license for host products, providing a one-stop inspection service to verify that the product meets both Thunderbolt specifications and industry safety standards such as UL/IEC 60950-1 (coming soon UL) /IEC 62368-1 replaced).
